When our sons were younger, they'd constantly give us the 3rd. degree regarding what would concur if they PRAYED for something. Their favorite question was this ... What would GOD take into consideration be4 answering our PRAYERS? Is: needs and wants his main focus or is it ALL about what you guys(parents) think is best?
They'd continue 2 cross-examine us, until we assured them that whatever the LORD has for them, it would be Tailored MADE to suit their personality.
Now that their young men, we don't easily veto their requests. Our approach is more of a debating style. LOL. However what we do, it's done with this BIBLE verse in mind:
EPHESIANS 6:4
FATHERS, DO NOT PROVOKE YOUR CHILDREN TO ANGER, BUT BRING THEM UP IN THE DISCIPLINE AND INSTRUCTION OF THE LORD.
CLOSING ARGUMENT
It's a day 2 day reminder that when GOD bestows something upon an individual, he customizes it to fix the person's: size, style, and even attitude. Parents be careful what you: teach, share, or advice your Tokens of Love(children) because they'll learn the lesson so well, and use it on you.
