7 Unsuitable Wedding Conversations

Bite Your TONGUE...

Its
customary for people to say Congratulations or Best Wishes to the Newly Weds; however here's a few conversational statements that shouldn't be shared with the Bride or Groom on their BIG day... YES, we advocate Freedom of Speech; but with this in mind:

2 TIMOTHY 2:14

REMIND THEM OF THESE THINGS, AND CHARGE THEM BEFORE GOD NOT TO QUARREL ABOUT WORDS, WHICH DOES NO GOOD, BUT ONLY RUINS THE HEARERS.
  1. Scheduling the arrival of babies isn't any ones place. That's the LORD'S job; so let him to do it.
  2. Airing out the couples Dirty Laundry regarding their past is considered: mean, outrageous, and unnecessary; it's a Celebration, not a gossip match.
  3. This is Mr. and Mrs. ____(you fill in the last name) Special Day; so don't ruin it by wasting their time with meaningless issues like: sitting arrangements, food, or misplaced items.
  4. Try to be tactful in the chit chat department; no questions about why someone wasn't invited? It's not your concern!
  5. DIVORCE is a topic that should NEVER be presented to the Bride and Groom; because this day represents UNITY, not SEPARATION...
  6. Refrain from any innuendos about the couple's after hour activities; its none of any one's business; but the couples...
  7. Avoid: asking, debating, or inferring about the cost of the wedding; it's a TOUCHY subject, most couples have already ARGUED about that, and that issue should be put to rest until after the Honeymoon...
Most of you may be thinking, then what can we talk about at the next wedding we're invited to? We suggest this, if you're a TRUE family member or friend, you'll help them CELEBRATE their: LOVE, UNITY, and that GOD allowed them to meet with: Honor, Respect, and Blissful Wishes...

BLESSINGS,
